Parent Time Dilation Theory

The time taken to accomplish any given task is invariably greater when undertaken as a parent.

Everything is different now. The days are seemingly longer, they spiral endlessly into one dreamlike experience, littered with the memories of the things left undone.

This is a new time. Where mention of sleep is whispered as if it were a mythical elixer. Where day and night trade mischievously with one another beyond the grasps of anxious parents.

This is Parent time

Dear Vincenzo,

Hello, and welcome to Seattle! We are so happy that you finally made it. We can't hardly wait to meet you!

We love all your photographs. You are one handsome little fellow! You really know how to work the camera.

As you know, your Mom and Dad are wonderful people. (Who, I might add, are also "cool" parents. You might not care now, but trust me - you'll be thankful later on). We are so happy for you and them!

Well, you take care of yourself. Cry when you need something, eat lots, get plenty of sleep (preferably at night), and perhaps toy with the idea of "Go F.C. Liverpool" as your first words. I suspect your parents may appreciate that.

Hope to see you soon.

Love,
Heather and Chris

Dude, that is one freaking cute baby... I am glad to see that he's already working on karate chops and gang signs (pics 3 and 4) and the "man, what TIME is it?" look in pic 7. Another unique individual is brought into the world- rejoice! Life continues.

Congratulations to you both and I can't wait to meet little 'Enzo.
